By: Seth J. The first raffle month we had was September. The topic for the September raffle was Inspiration, and we got a lot of great responses from students. Nevin (10th), Logan (9th), and Ryder (7th) did a form of art. Samara (10th), Isabel (12th), and Katherine (7th), all made up their own poetry. Other people did slideshows, some people put just their thoughts in the discussion. The raffle is a great and fun thing for all students to participate in and show cool talents and poetry. Let’s get into the other best quotes and words said from this month’s raffle. A really cool quote from the raffle was by McCoy (7th): “Artists get their inspiration and ideas by closely observing the workings of the world around them.” Another quote that was really good was an excerpt of Isabel (12th)'s original poem titled Inspiration: Inspiration. Such an interesting word. An Idea to bloom? A lightening bolt to strike? Or maybe a lightbulb being lit up? The energy that flows as the ideas form. This inspiration as we call it, strikes, and a smile curves our lips. Our mind leaps from one thing to the next. But where. oh where, does this inspiration come from? From a word? A feeling? A helping hand? A smile? A Laugh? A Book? For more, check out her poem on Liger's Den. Some of the other quotes that we heard were from Samara poem also titled Inspiration. A great line in her poem was, “And it comes differently for every person. For life is like this in many ways. Though, every person has experienced some of its versions. At least once. Maybe twice. Maybe even multiple times.” This is in her poem on her thoughts about inspiration. Another poem that had a great response in the raffle it was an excerpt from Katheryn's poem titled Thoughts of Inspiration. Share your ideas. Out with the world. Touching their hearts. With people, places, artists, and minds. We come together. Share out a comment. Thinking together This was another one of those very creative written responses that we have seen in the raffle for this past month. For more, check out her poem on Liger's Den. Logan did a slideshow of art where he stated, “I enjoyed making the little comic and that he thought it was just a simple presentation on something he was inspired to create.” At the heading of the topic for the raffle, it says, “We decided to go with the idea of enthusiasm and encouragement.” This is a great way to sum up the topic for the first month of the school year, and it really gave our students a good opportunity to answer in the raffle. The raffle is a great opportunity to share cool poems and artwork that you have. Don’t forget that if you enter the raffle not only do you get points for your grade in Ligers Den but you also get entered into a raffle to win some cool LANV gear! The gear can include things like hoodies or shirts and books and other LANV things. Don’t forget to keep sharing in the monthly raffles.
